Chief Instructor: Daniel Verzotti holds a 6th degree Black Belt (Rokudan) in Karate from the Japan Karate Association and a 2nd degree Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu from the Hiscoe Ju-Jitsu Schools.
Sensei Verzotti is a member of Japan Karate Association, SKD JKA Canada, Karate Alberta Association, and Karate Canada. He began Karate in 1975 in Montreal. He moved to Calgary in 1986 and opened his dojo in Airdrie in January 1999. |
He enjoys training in Kata (forms), Kumite (sparring), and has a special interest in self-defense. He reads about self-protection and attends a variety of seminars during the year. Sensei Verzotti believes that we all train for different reasons and he tries to accommodate everyone.

Instructor: Sempai Dave has been training at Airdrie JKA Karate since January, 2009. He enjoys teaching and has completed the NCCP Beginner Karate and Introduction to Competition training programs in 2012 and 2013. Sempai Dave received his Shodan in 2012 and his Nidan in 2015. He is currently the Secretary-Treasurer of the Alberta JKA Karate Association and Secretary for the Karate Alberta Association. Sempai Dave has competed in kata in several tournaments and has 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals in his competitive career.
